According to me to keep these to things separate from each other then there must be initiative from both the leaders and people because unless and until we get the leader who is secular in his work not only in his speeches these two things will not be separated. Because when leaders supports only to particular part of society because of their cast similarity simply only that part or segment of the society make him their hero and naturally other people blame the same person.

What I believe is that religion and politics are the two opposite banks of a river, that can never mix together. And probably if they would mix in future there is always a chance of tsunami. Religion has nothing to do with politics and vice versa. But now-days, our great leaders are using these facts for their own interest. They always try to motivate the innocent common people on the basis of caste, creed or religion.

They influence the innocent people that I am from your caste, please vote in favour of me. I will work for your betterment. But the truth is just otherwise. They only use this fact for their own interest. Once the election is over, they don't care for them.

This kind of facts is hampering the nation's growth. Ours is a secular country. And it written in the preamble of our constitution to treat everyone irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex. But still our greedy leaders use this fact and intermingle their political interest with the religion just to satisfy their own benefits. This should not be done.

Religion cannot be kept away from politics because politics and religion both are a part of our society and life so we cannot draw a line between religion and politics, our Indian society is divided on the basis of religion, politicians play religion game to pamper a particular section of society and attack votes so we have to frame our system so that every religion gets its due respect, every member of society is above any religion but to take care of them there are schemes and programs required from the side of government, some sections have been really ill treated and discriminated in the society so they need uplifting

Religion and Politics may be considered as two different banks of a river which can't meet. But, we people always try to mix both. Religion is one which separates us from one another in term of the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or Goddess.

It can never be mixed with politics. But today many politicians are trying to augment their vote banks by mixing religion with politics. It always results in great violence and leads to detriment of peace. Politicians generally believe in "DEVIDE AND RULE" policy and they use it for their selfishness. And innocent people become the part of this act. Mixing of the religion with politics also leads to terrorism. Thus, Religion should never become a reason to break up the society in pieces.

About India it is true but not imposable to keep different politics and religion in our life for example Bihar and Gujrat. Indian people are too much allergenic towards his religion and this allergenic affect our political decision. In Gujarat now people moving to wades a progressive leading and develop state so people now forgetting Gujratrote and use his energy to Mack a well civilized Society. In Bihar people realized and fell that in a peacefully and healthy society we can enjoy our religion and faith. So people moving and searching a secular politics. Thus our think can differentiate politics and religion our thing can change with our needs our preferences.

Religion is where morals come from. Morals always come together with judgements - what is right and what is wrong. When people allow themselves to judge others - unreasonable arguments appear. Judgments are subjective; they are based on individual beliefs and ideas. Politics and law cannot allow themselves to be subjective.

A court and a judge operate according to laws that do not come from the bible; otherwise we would not have jails but wait till god punishes a murderer. And we would not have Presidents; we'd have a king, whose legitimacy would be based on our belief that he is a representative of god. Mixing politics and religion is what gave us the holy inquisition, crusades and jihad. Get real, people.

No, religion and politics should not mix for a better future
India is a secular country. Politicians are to serve the nation and treat all people of nation equally. They should be unbiased when they enter into politics. Then only we can accept the nation to develop. Mixing both is very dangerous for the nation because it is just like the British policy of "divide and conquer". It just divides people and create misunderstanding between then.

Many people advocate the thought that religion should not be mixed with politics. But is that a practical thing? Is it possible to keep religions and politics away from each other? There is no doubt that religion and politics are two most important elements in people?s lives. And when they both come together arguments are bound to happen. So what is your view on ?Religions should not be mixed with Politics??

Yes

1. Politics and religions should not mix as politics need to reflect a common opinion and have to make all decisions keeping in view the mutual benefit of all the people.

2. If you simply go by the laws in India which is a secular country then definitely as per it the two things should not mix with each other.

3. If both the elements are mixed then people will become more biased towards their own religion.

4. Whenever politics and religions are mixed then the voting decisions of people have been affected.

5. Politics is about power and a religion is about faith. Faith can influence power but when power influences faith it can become disaster. Faith always leads to principles and values.

No

Religion is all about following the right path and inculcating right values. If true religion is followed then it can definitely result in fair politics.

1. Religion and politics have always crossed their paths since years. Sometimes it has resulted in good results and sometimes in bad. But the fact is that they are inseparable.

2. Mixing religion and politics can open up the gates to break some old shackles that were not a part of religion but society made it religion.

3. It will help many people to do and follow what their religion preaches. Someone who understands and knows their values will make all efforts to respect it and save it.

4. Cow killing is not supported by politicians in India. Just because their religion doesn?t approve it.

Conclusion

Politics is all about having a good time in present life and religion is about having faith for the future times. There are times when they both run like parallel banks of river which don?t meet but always run together.

Religion should not be mixed with politics. Because in a country like India there are numerous religions. What is happening today is the politicians are using these different religions for their vote bank. Sometimes they also provocate the people by their speeches which results then in communal disharmony which is simply dangerous for the unity of our country. Besides, the people must understand that they do not elect such people who try to divide them in the name of religion. Instead we must elect such candidates who vow to work for the peace and the development of the nation.

That sounds good in theory but in reality, politicians are people ( I know there may be some discussion on that point) and are affected by their upbrining, their values and morals, their religious or non-religious beliefs.

They can try to keep their religious views out of their decision making, but seeing as how religion is very central to our thoughts and actions...I think it's impossible.

Plus there may be a whole argument that would have a solid basis in religious beliefs being better in politics...the further from God we've come the worse our nation has gotten. I don't mean shoving personal beliefs down the collective throat of the country...but a politician who believes that there are eternal consequences for lying, stealing, back-stabbing, etc. may be something we are missing out on now.

It's true that we shouldn't necessarily have a government run by a religion, but your religious beliefs, can and should affect how you vote. For example, gay marriage. If you believe it's morally wrong, first because of common sense, and also from a religious standpoint, then you wouldn't sit by and watch as laws were passed allowing it. You would make your voice heard. Your argument is invalid because even in non-religious issues politicians will vote based on their belief. Another example, Obamacare.

Members of Congress passed Obamacare because they believe it's what will help America. And the ones who voted against it, believed it wouldn't help. Religious beliefs should affect politics. It is for the best. Because if it didn't, America would be worse off then we already are because laws would be passed by people with no morals, no sense of right or wrong, and only looking out for themselves.
